Black Stars Management Committee member, Dr. Richard Nsenkyire has backed Thomas Partey’s inclusion in the latest Black Stars squad ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers and believes he will be ready to give his all for the nation.
The 32-year-old was recently charged with new five rape cases and sexual assault in the United Kingdom involving three women and has already denied all those allegations at the Westminster Magistrates Court, when he appeared early this month.
Partey, thrived very well in his last game for the senior national team having netted a brace in an emphatic 3-0 win over Madagascar to take a commanding lead in Group I of the ongoing qualifiers for the Mundial.
The versatile midfielder has already started life at his new club Villarreal having featured in their opening two wins over Real Oviedo and Girona in the 2025/26 La Liga season
Speaking on Partey’s inclusion, the FC Samartex bank-roller sees nothing wrong with that since he is still playing actively despite recent happenings and is very optimistic he will mentally fit and ready for the games coming up. He told Asempa FM in Accra;
"Otto Addo is in touch with all the players, and I believe if Thomas Partey was not ready to play, he would have informed the head coach and the technical team, but I believe that he is ready and motivated to play against Chad and Mali," he told Asempa FM.
The Black Stars will open camp on Monday, September 1, to prepare for the games coming up and are currently leading with 15 points after six matches (5 wins, 1 loss).
Ghana will play as guests to Chad on Thursday, September 4, and will host Mali afterwards in what will be a cagey encounter in four days time at the Accra Sports Stadium
