Alhaji Karim Grusah, owner of King Faisal has called on President John Dramani Mahama to appoint Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye as Minister designate for Sports and Recreation.
Already, there are reports that Vanderpuye, a former Minister for Youth and Sports and Member of Parliament for Odododiodio is among the people tipped as Minister of Sports and Recreation.
"Nii Lante Vanderpuye has already proven his capabilities, so I’m puzzled about what the NDC is waiting for. I recall that even under the NPP, former President Kufuor considered appointing him as Sports Minister, but internal party unrest prevented it.
“Since the NDC have returned to power, they should bring him back on board,” he added.
