Ghanaian football fans have taken to social media to express their frustration with Mohammed Kudus for missing a golden opportunity during stoppage time in Ghana's 0-0 draw against Sudan in an AFCON 2025 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

The Black Stars entered the match seeking their first victory of the qualifiers, following a loss and a draw in their previous two games.

Otto Addo's side once controlled the game against the visitors and could have taken all three points, but it wasn't to be, as Kudus, Inaki Williams and Jordan Ayew missed the few chances that came their way.

Kudus, however, has faced significant backlash from the Ghanaian football community for missing a clear scoring opportunity. Footage on social media shows that the ball bounced just before he struck it, but this is not seen as a valid excuse.

The offside flag remained down—though it might have gone up had he scored—and at 24 years old, Kudus had no one to blame but himself for the miss.

With that in mind, Ghanaians voiced their opinions on X (previously known as Twitter).
