Ghana football legend, Bernard Don Bortey has finally rendered an unqualified apology to their Hearts of Oak fans after displaying Kotoko flag few weeks ago and also made some harsh comments towards his former club.

The Hearts of Oak legend, was spotted at the Baba Yara Stadium to celebrate with Asante Kotoko on their coronation day against Elmina Sharks, where he was seen hoisting Kotoko's flag.

Also, he was seen on live interview stating Hearts of Oak doesn't allow him to get closer to the team and that, the Porcupine Warriors should raid the Hearts squad by signing Mohammed Alhassan and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
 
These recent actions of Dong Bortey didn't go down well for most of Hearts of Oak supporters but was however, seen on his knees last night at the green stands of the Kumasi Sports Stadium, apologising to the supports for his recent actions and words.
 
The 'Phobians' went on to clinch their 12th FA Cup title after humbling Bechem United by 2-1 in the final.
 
Don, 39, really paid his dues in the Rainbow colours, having won four league titles and also played an integral role in the squad that won them the maiden edition of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2004.
