The Black Galaxies will cross swords with Algeria this mid-afternoon at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in their first warm up friendly since arriving in Algiers.

 

The home-based national team left Egypt last Tuesday to continue with preparations towards the 2022 African Nations Championship.

Coach Annor Walker's men had a great training tour in Cairo where they spent almost two weeks and engaged in some high profile friendlies.
 
They humbled the Egypt U20 side by 2-0 in their first friendly game before wrapping up with a precious 3-1 win over African giants Al Ahly.
 
The team will hold other training sessions in addition, as they look to acclimatize to the whether condition quickly even before the commencement of the competition.
 
The game is scheduled for 1600GMT local time this mid-afternoon 
 
The Black Galaxies are drawn in Group C together with holders Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar. The competition starts on January 13, 2023.
