Former Hearts of Oak's chief executive officer, Harry Zakour says Ghana football is collapsing, as he insists that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Youth and Sports Ministry are not serious about the game.
Poor stadium attendance has been one of the major problems of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The GFA, Youth and Sports Ministry and the clubs seems not to find the solutions to the problem.
People have criticised the low competitiveness, poor refereeing, match fixing and low investment into infrastructure projects in the league.
Harry Zakour believes that the Ghana football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports are not serious about football.
"They all have to wake up and get serious about getting a solution to this issues but as I said the GFA is not serious, he told Akoma FM.
"In our time, we did a lot of adverts, and publicity through interviews, again the league was very strong and people would love to watch it over European leagues but today the case has been overturned.
“How many players in the league are superstars? Because GFA is not serious and the ministry too is not serious, everything is collapsing. Nobody knows there is a league game, even myself I sometimes don't know when my darling club Accra Hearts of Oak are playing,” Harry Zakour added.
