Black Meteors coach, Ibrahim Tanko says they are going to qualify for the Olympic games as he insists that it's an opportunity for them to leave their mark.

Ghana will face Mozambique in the first leg away at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto in the African U-23 qualifiers.

The Black Meteors have been in camp for some weeks as they gear up for the qualifiers, with the suspension of the betPawa Premier League helping their preparations together.

The Accra Lions technical director, Ibrahim Tanko insists that they are going into the game with the ambitions of qualifying.

"We are young and I mean we have quality players who can hold on the ball. We have fast wingers who can run into the spaces so definitely we have all the ingredients from back to striking," he told ghanafa.org.

"We have to get the team right and this is what we are doing. Today is the last training, tomorrow we are flying and go and do the job in Mozambique."

"We are here with only the local players and I think we have believe in them because we were here six weeks with them, we saw the strength and weakness in them so definitely we are going to have a good team to start on Sunday.

"Since 2004, Ghanaians are waiting for the Olympics and this is an opportunity for us to also make a mark.

"We are going with all seriousness to try and qualify," he concluded.
