Hearts of Oak board chairman, Togbe Afede XIV says any coach appointed at the club needs to win the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian tactician Slavko Matic as their new head coach.
Samuel Boadu was sacked as the head coach after their stalemate with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, culminating in eight consecutive league games without a win.
David Ocloo, the newly appointed assistant coach led the team in their disgraceful Confederations Cup exit.
Hearts of Oak lost 3:0 in Bamako before beating AS Bamako by 1:0 to crash out of the competition.
Togbe Afede says Slavko Matic knows what is expected of him as he insists that he needs to win the league.
"He knows what we expect from him as a club and he is ready to meet the demands," Togbe Afede said at a presser.
"Every coach we appoint knows that failure to win the league, as well as our ambitions in Africa are things we take seriously as a club," he added.
