The Black Queens face a demanding schedule at the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup in the United Arab Emirates as they step up preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The invitational tournament will run from February 28 to March 6 and will see Ghana come up against Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania.
Ghana will begin their campaign on February 28 with kickoff at 16:00 GMT against Hong Kong, a match the Black Queens will hope to use to set a strong foundation for the tournament.
They will then face Russia on March 3 at 16:00 GMT in what is expected to be their toughest game. The European side are known for their physical strength, which will make the match a key learning moment for the Ghanaians.
The Black Queens will round off their campaign on March 6 with a late 21:00 GMT kickoff against Tanzania, adding another challenge as they adjust to different match conditions.
The Pink Ladies Cup will give Ghana’s technical team led by head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren a chance to test players, try new combinations and improve match fitness.
With three games in quick succession, the tournament is seen as an important step in the Black Queens’ build-up to WAFCON.
