Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has linked up with the Black Stars in Japan ahead of their international friendly against the hosts in the Kirin Challenge Cup.
The experienced shot-stopper arrived in Aichi on Thursday morning and is expected to take part in Ghana’s final training session later in the day at the Toyota Stadium.
Asare’s arrival completes the travelling squad, bringing the number of players in camp to 22. He played a key role during Ghana’s successful qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring in six matches and keeping five clean sheets.

The Black Stars will face Japan on Friday, November 14, before travelling to Seoul to play South Korea four days later as part of their preparations for next summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
