The Black Stars have finally left the shores of the country this morning en route to Cote D'Ivoire for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team left via Air Cote D'Ivoire with 27 players, the entire technical team and other members and are expected to land at their base Abidjan in the next few hours.

The Black Stars held almost ten days camping in Kumasi and are currently looking very poised and ready for the competition hoping to end the country's 42-years AFCON trophy drought.

The team met with the President H.E Nana Akuffo Addo last night for a final dinner at the Jubilee house in a simple colourful event of which Dancehall Artiste Stonebwoy and others were all present to wish the team well.

On arrival, the team is expected to hold about one or two training sessions to quickly acclimatize to the weather, pitches and everything to have themselves adequately prepared before their opening game.

Ghana have been housed in Group B alongside giants Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

The four-time champions will kickoff their campaign on Sunday, January 14, against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in Abidjan at 20:00GMT.
