Public Relations Officer of the Sports Ministry, Mr. Charles Amofa has stated Ghana's 2023 AFCON budget can only be revealed when the tournament is over.
The Black Stars held almost ten days camping in Kumasi and are currently looking very poised and ready for the competition as they hope to end the country's 42-years AFCON drought.
The team met with the President H.E Nana Akuffo Addo last night for a final dinner at the Jubilee house in a simple colourful event of which Dancehall Artiste Stonebwoy and others were all present to wish the team well.
Speaking in an interview on Angel TV, Charles Amofah said the team's budget isn't confirmed yet but will be made public after the tournament and has urged all Ghanaians to rally behind the team for victory.
"The AFCON budget is a work in progress. Ghanaians will know after the tournament. For now, we will entreat everyone to pray for the team."
The team departed the country just this morning via Air Cote D'Ivoire and are expected to arrive at their base Abidjan in the next few hours.
Ghana are in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
The Black Stars will face the Blue Sharks in the opening fixture on Sunday, January 14, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium.
