The Black Stars have expressed their sincere gratitude to Ghanaians for the unwavering support they were given in their recent World Cup qualifying matches, both at home and away.
Led by Gideon Mensah, the players expressed their thanks to the fans who stood by them throughout their triumphant encounters against Chad and Madagascar.
As the team looks ahead to their next matches in the qualifier, they remain thankful for the staunch support of Ghanaians, whose cheers and encouragement fuel their drive for excellence.
“Thank you, Ghana. Thank you, Accra. Thank you to everyone. Two games, eight goals, two clean sheets. Thank you very much, thanks for the support,” Mensah passionately proclaimed on behalf of the team.
The Black Stars delivered an impressive performance in their home fixture against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium, securing a dominant 5-0 victory with a clean sheet. The team then traveled to face Madagascar in Morocco, where they continued their energetic form, clinching a 3-0 triumph while maintaining another clean sheet.
A driving force to these outstanding defensive displays was Ghana’s new number-one goalkeeper Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, who put up stellar performances in both matches. His commanding presence between the sticks ensured that the team remained intact, instilling confidence in the defense and entertaining fans with a small number of his displays.
The Black Stars’ recent performances have revived passion and belief among supporters, establishing an optimistic tone for the team’s journey ahead.
