Ex-midfielder of Ghana, Thomas Duah believes the challenges the Black Stars are facing are beyond just a coaching problem.
The Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, securing just three points from their six matches in Group F, which included Angola, Sudan, and Niger.
The uninspiring performance in the qualifiers left Ghana bottom (4th) of Group F with just three points.
Otto Addo and his technical staff have come under heavy criticism but Duah says the challenges are just beyond the technical team.
"We’ve been apportioning blame on coaches for Black Stars' poor performances but for me, coaches are not the problem. Do coaches play football," he quizzed in an interview with Kessben FM.
“We shouldn’t blame Otto Addo. The situation at hand goes beyond coaching."
Ghana will now shift their focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, as they have a bigger task ahead against Chad and Madagascar in their next two games in the global showpiece qualifiers in March, 2025.
