Highly-rated goalkeeper, David Akologo after getting two national team call ups within the week, has decided to ditch Bolivia and play for Ghana, per exclusive reports reaching Kickgh.com

The Club Deportivo Aurora netminder was named in the Black Stats squad by coach Otto Addo for the first time ahead of the international friendlies slated for next week.

The 27-year-old in the course of the week, was also handed his call up to the Bolivia national team ahead of their games against Algeria and Bolivia in the maiden FIFA series tournament.

Akologo, is part of the Bolivia national team squad that are currently camping in Brazil ahead of the inaugural FIFA competition and were expected to depart to Algeria in the course of the week.

However, per the latest speculations, the ex- Mighty Jet goalie has chosen Ghana over Bolivia after informing the Bolivia FA he will want to play for the Black Stars instead.

He is expected to join the Black Stars camp which will open very soon as they prepare for their friendlies against bitter rivals Nigeria on March 22, and Uganda in four days time, all in Marrakech, Morocco.

Born in Accra, he has been playing topflight football in Bolivia since 2020 and is undoubtedly one of the best in the country's topflight.
