The budding talented centre-back has received his first-ever invitation to play for the senior national team of Ghana in this month's international friendlies.

Ghana new head coach Otto Addo has handed a maiden call-up to FC Lorient defender Nathaniel Adjei to feature for the Black Stars in two international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.

Ghana is scheduled to engage the Super Eagles of Nigeria on March 22 and Uganda on March 26 in an international friendlies at the Stade Grade Marrakech in Morocco.

Adjei has established himself as one of the best U21 centre-backs in Europe since leaving the shores of Ghana in 2021 from lower-tier side Danbort FC.

The 21-year-old sealed a sensational loam move to French Ligue 1 outfit FC Lorient from Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby FF during the last winter transfer window.

Since his arrival at FC Lorient, he has managed to break into the first team and made seven appearances in the French Ligue 1 in the ongoing season so far.

Adjei has already represented Ghana at the U20 and U23 levels.
