MTN Ghana has signed a $2 million agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to become the headline sponsor of four national teams for the next two years, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The telecommunications giants will back the senior men’s and women’s national teams, as well as the men’s under-23 and under-20 sides, in a deal aimed at boosting preparations and support for international competitions.
MTN, Ghana’s largest mobile network operator, has a long history of sports sponsorship, including its ongoing title sponsorship of the Ghana FA Cup.
The new deal is expected to run through the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign and other major tournaments.
