Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea have been attacked by armed robbers while returning from their game against FC Samartex in Samreboi.
The team was attacked on the Bibiani–Goaso road at Ahyiresu, where the robbers blocked the road, forcing players and officials to evacuate the bus and flee into the bushes.
Kickgh.com can report that one of Berekum Chelsea's players identified as Dominic Frimpong has been shot in the head by armed robbers and rushed to Bibiani Government Hospital.
The Ghana Police are searching for missing players and officials, and pursuing the armed robbers, who are on the run.
