The Black Galaxies of Ghana are most likely to play Nigeria in Kumasi in the first leg of the 2022 African Nations Championship final qualifying round.

The home-based national team have always played at the Cape Coast Stadium- a venue they humiliated Benin by 3-0 in the first leg before the humbling them again this weekend in Cotonou to secure a 4-0 on aggregate victory.

Having advanced into the next stage, the Ghana-Nigeria rivalry has been renewed once again this year as both countries are to square off against each other later this month with the winner cruising into Algeria for the main competition.

According to reports from Luv FM, the Ghana FA have engaged the National Sports Authority as they look to use the Baba Yara Stadium for the penultimate clash coming up, subject to approval.

The first leg is scheduled for the weekend of August 26-28 with the return encounter to be honoured between September 1-3, 2022.
