Despite the series of emotional outbursts on social media from Ghanaian football fans after the Black Stars defeat to Comoros earlier today, head coach Chris Hughton worries not and has now switched his attention to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The four-time African champions have somehow had a shaky start to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, having lost and won a game each in their opening two matches.

After nipping on Inaki William's late header to humble Madagascar over the weekend, Ghana also tasted their first defeat earlier today after losing 1-0 in Moroni against Comoros in their second game.

The results has sparked a huge rage among local football fans who have questioned the commitment of the players and also again, called for the jettisoning of the ex- Brighton gaffer.

Coach Chris Hughton per reports, will still be at post and will lead Ghana to the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations which is slated for early next year in Cote D'Ivoire.

He is expected to announce his provisional squad in the middle of next month and will be trimmed down to the final list before the competition commences.

Ghana have been placed in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
