The ruling party in Ghana, New Patriotic Party (NPP) have given out GHS10,000 to the family of Christian Atsu and sent their condolences to them in addition.
The 31 year old tragically passed away following an earthquake that hit Turkey on February 6, 2023.
After almost two weeks of being trapped under rubbles, his lifeless body was found at his apartment last Saturday and was officially confirmed dead.
The news was really hard to be accepted by the football world who emotionally paid tribute to Atsu, not only because of what he's done on the pitch but also his great contribution to humanity. He was really known with philanthropy.
Former Ghanaian footballers like Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Baffour Gyan, Agyemang Badu, Haminu Dramani and more were all present at his family house couple of days ago to sign the book of condolence.
The party's General Secretary Justin Frimpong Koduah was also present to commiserate with the family and also signed the book of condolence. In addition he donated to them GHS10,000 on behalf of the NPP.
Christian Atsu's one week observation is scheduled for March 4, 2023.
