The Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi has been approved by CAF to host Ghana's crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola next month
Initially, the venue was deemed unfit and was rejected to host the penultimate clash but the recent inspection done by the continent's highest football governing body, got them impressed to approve it finally.
The game is going to be a double header against the Black Antelopes in March, with the first leg happening in Kumasi and the second in Luanda- a tie Ghana will hope to grind all six points at stake to enhance their qualification opportunities.
The first leg is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2023.
The Black Stars after two matches in the qualifiers are currently leading Group E with four points, after beating Madagascar in the opener in Cape Coast before drawing Central African Republic in the second game in Luanda.
Ghana failed to sail out of their group at the 2022 World Cup which resulted into the resignation of head coach Otto Addo- who returned to his Talent Scout role at German giants Borussia Dortmund.
However, experience manager Chris Hughton has been appointed the new gaffer and will lead the four time African champions into the upcoming qualifiers.
