Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, and Management Committee Chairman of the Black Stars George Afriyie has lauded the domestic football governing body and stakeholders for helping curb the canker of hooliganism.
The issue of hooliganism has been a major talking point since the early 2000’s and in recent years it reached a new level of hysteria.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Afriyie said; "One thing that we have to praise the football association and the football people for is that the act of hooliganism has reduced drastically. It has not vanished completely but has gone down really much.
"This is one thing we can all pat ourselves on the back and continue improving on it," he added.
