Ex- Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has opened on what his former club Asante Kotoko should do to excel next season especially in their Africa campaign
With the aim of achieving the double, the Porcupine Warriors missed out on the league but managed to console themselves with the MTN FA Cup after beating Golden Kick by 2-1 in the final - which has given them a spot in the CAF Confederations Cup
The Reds added up another trophy this weekend after coming from behind to beat arch rivals Asante Kotoko by 1-2 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium to emerge as champions of the 2025 President Cup
Speaking on Kessben FM in Kumasi, the ex- Udinese Calcio and Hellas Verona middleman said Kotoko should look for a back up striker and also a defensive midfielder to do the combative works and will be unstoppable if they seal these loopholes in the team
“Currently, Kotoko need a typical striker to complement Kwame Poku. In the midfield, I think Kotoko will need a defensive midfielder to help Emmanuel Antwi and Seth Kwadwo to excel in matches. If they are able to fix these challenges, I think Kotoko will be ready for the African campaign.”
Asante Kotoko will depart to South Africa to face Kaizer Chiefs in the Toyota Cup
