The Ghana Football Association have introduced a new tournament dubbed the Second Division National Festival which will be played later next month and is also expected to be held annually.
Regional Division Two champions of all the ten regions in Ghana will have the opportunity to compete against each other in one region, with the maiden edition set to be staged in Volta.
The competition definitely will be a tough and cagey one and somehow the champion of champions competition and the winner will officially be recognized as overall second division conquerors in the country.
It will also serve as the perfect preseason for all the teams since it will get them well prepared, gelled and poised for their first division campaign in the 2022/23 football season.
The competition is expected to be held from 18th to 31st July, 2022.
