Ivorian-Danish gaffer Pierre Bazie is set to join the technical team of the Black Stars as an opposition scout ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 43-year-old brings valuable experience from European football and the international stage, having previously served as assistant coach of the Burkina Faso national team until after the 2025 AFCON. 

His background in Denmark and Africa is expected to strengthen Ghana’s analytical approach as the team prepares for for the highly-anticipated continental showpiece. 

Bazie is expected to play a key role in match analysis, scouting opponents and providing detailed tactical insights to aid the team’s preparation. 

He will work under newly appointed Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz, who is scheduled to be officially unveiled at the Alisa Hotel on Thursday, April 23.

Ghana have been drawn in Group L of the World Cup alongside England, 2018 finalists Croatia and Panama, making Bazie’s role crucial as the Black Stars prepare to face top-level opposition at the Mundial
