Ghana first division side, Port City FC have confirmed the capture of former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah in the just-opened second transfer window of the 2024/25 football season.
Official club statement on Facebook reads;
"SIGNED. We are glad to announce the signing of former Accra Hearts of Oak and Black stars goalkeeper Richard Attah to the Adonten family. He is coming in with alot of experience into our goalkeeping department. Welcome Richard."
The highly-rated goalie joined the 'Phobians' in 2019 after an impressive spell with Elmina Sharks and straight away became the club's first-choice on arrival.
The 29-year-old was outstanding in the 2020/21 season when Hearts of Oak clinched the league title after over a decade and subsequently achieved the domestic treble.
Despite starting the 2023/24 season as first choice, he lost the spot on several occasions and wasn't in bone of contention in the latter part of last season having made only 13 league appearances last season.
Having left Hearts of Oak months ago, the stalwart shot-stopper is back to competitive action and is hoping to be available for Port City FC's matchday 11 fixture against Okwawu United this weekend in zone three.
Richard Attah was part of the Black Stars final squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Cameroon.
