In a statement released by the Ghana Football Association, which was named a congratulations statement, they made it clear that football is one aspect of bringing our nation together, and they (GFA) are inclined to work closely with the president-elect to take Ghana football to the next level.
The statement further indicated that, the Ghana FA is very confident with the support of this new government, the football ecosystem will flourish, and will result in the country developing world-class players and teams, and ultimately allowing Ghana to regain its past glory.
"As you are aware, football is the unifying force that binds our nation together, and the GFA is fully committed to working closely with your government to elevate Ghana football to the highest level," a portion of the statement said.
"Achieving this shared vision, however, requires significant investment in key areas that form the foundation of football development.
"The association believes that with the support of your administration, we would continue to create a thriving football ecosystem that produces world-class players and teams capable of bringing glory to Ghana."
