Veteran lawyer and pundit Moses Foh Amoaning has thrown his weight behind Asante Kotoko, backing the Porcupine Warriors to come out on top in Sunday’s hotly anticipated FA Cup final clash against Golden Kick SC.
Speaking ahead of the showdown, Foh Amoaning admitted that Golden Kick’s journey to the final has been remarkable, but insists Kotoko’s experience and pedigree will be too much for the Division One side to handle.
“Asante Kotoko has the advantage, but it will be a tough game for them,” he told Asempa FM. “I have watched Golden Kick, and they are a good side, and so I believe it will be a tough game for them.”
The Chorkor Chemunaa-based underdogs have shocked many by knocking out top-flight opponents on their way to the final, including a stunning 3-1 semifinal victory over Attram De Visser.
However, with the stakes high and silverware on the line, Foh Amoaning believes Kotoko’s cup-winning DNA will shine through.
“It will be a good game, and I hope that Kotoko will take up this opportunity to build a good team,” he added.
With the Porcupine Warriors aiming to end the season on a high note, and Golden Kick looking to pull off one last upset, all eyes will be on the pitch this weekend in what promises to be a clash of dreams vs dominance.
Meanwhile, whoever emerges victorious on Sunday, June 15, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium will qualify to represent Ghana in the next CAF Confederation Cup campaign. The kickoff for the match is at 17:00 GMT.
