Black Stars boss Otto Addo has come under heavy fire, with respected lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning blasting him as “unfit” to lead Ghana.
Addo, who was reappointed in March 2024, has faced huge criticism after failing to qualify the four-time African champions for AFCON 2025.
Pressure has only grown following a poor showing in September’s World Cup qualifiers, where Ghana scraped past Mali after a disappointing draw with Chad.
The Ghana FA has already moved to strengthen the technical team, drafting in veteran German coach and AFCON winner Winfried Schäfer as advisor.
But Foh-Amoaning, a former member of the 2014 Justice Dzamefe Commission of Enquiry didn’t hold back when speaking on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
“Otto Addo is not fit for the Black Stars job. He is a scout coach, learning on the job like doing National Service. The GFA knows this, and that is the reason why they have brought in Winfried Schäfer to improve the technical team’s quality.”
Ghana remain top of Group I with 19 points, and their qualification fate rests on October clashes with the Central African Republic and Comoros.
