Former Asante Kotoko Communications and Brands Manager, David Obeng Nyarko, has won a defamation case against Agyapa TV journalist Kwadwo "Super Obondede" Bonsrah after nearly two years of legal proceedings.
The court ruled that Bonsrah’s statements about Obeng Nyarko were false, malicious, and damaging to his reputation.
As part of the verdict, Bonsrah has been ordered to issue a written apology, retract the defamatory statements from all platforms, and refrain from making further defamatory remarks.
Additionally, he must pay GH₵50,000 in damages and GH₵15,000 in legal costs.
The ruling is seen as a landmark decision in Ghanaian media law, reinforcing the need for accountability in journalism.
Obeng Nyarko expressed gratitude to his legal team and highlighted the importance of legal protection against defamation.
