Ghanaian business magnate and Executive Chairman of McDan Group, Daniel McKorley has urged handlers of Ghana football to sanitize the structural and functional unit to entice sponsorship.
Currently, Ghana Premier League doesn't have a headline sponsor after main sponsor - betPawa abrogated their three-year deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) last season.
Speaking to Asempa FM, McKorley confirmed his willingness to sponsor the Ghana Premier League but raised concerns of match fixing and gambling.
"I can sponsor the Ghana Premier League but the gambling is too much."
"The match-fixing is collapsing our game. You will watch a game and how a goalkeeper will concede a goal is funny and it is because someone must win a bet.
"Football is a nice game but our players cannot play for years. It is about time we sanitise our game," he added.
