Ghana Football Association President, Kurt E.S.Okraku and his entourage will be in Kumasi later today to support Asante Kotoko mourn their beloved supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong - who finally goes home today.
Famously known as 'Nana Pooley', the staunch football faithful was stabbed to death by an unknown person at Nsoatre during a GPL match-day 19 fixture between his club Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC.
His painful demise has led to a temporal break of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season which is set to resume this weekend after over a month off.
Lots of dignitaries are expected to be present at the Heroes Park, inside the Baba Yara Stadium today, including the GFA President Kurt Okraku.
He is expected to arrive at the final funeral rite alongside his Executive Council members, Regional Football Association Chairmen, some officials from the FA and other club officials to help bid final farewell to a passionate supporter of the Ghanaian game.
The family of the deceased have announced 5:30am to 10 am as the time period for the corpse to be laid in state and also for the Church service before it will subsequently be buried at Kokuom.
Right after, the final funeral rite will continue at 1pm and will run till 6pm where the public and sympathizers will join massively to mourn with the family.
