Technical Advisor of the Black Stars, Winfried Schaefer has explained why the Ghana Football Association (GFA) decided to bring in five new coaches to the Black Stars technical team.
Schaefer stated that the decision is part of a clear plan to help Ghana do well at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
“The five new additions to the Black Stars technical team were strategically brought on to ensure Ghana succeeds at the World Cup,” Schafer said in an interview with Medeamaa FM.

A few days ago, the GFA announced the expansion of the Black Stars technical setup with the appointment of five experienced professionals as preparations intensify for the World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The new recruits include French coach Alain Ravera, Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren, Spanish coach José Daniel Martínez Alfonso, physiotherapist Carlos Lozano Romero, and British-born Ghanaian performance specialist Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi.
The GFA believes the experience and expertise of the new technical team members will play a key role in helping the Black Stars achieve their World Cup targets.
