Ghana Football Association President, Kurt E.S Okraku met with the Black Princesses to congratulate them for emerging as conquerors for the inaugural WAFU Zone B U-20 Girls Championship.
The Black Queens feeder side defeated sworn rivals Nigeria 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time to stage a 'host and win' and also have their hands gripped on the new coveted trophy
The GFA boss who also doubles as the WAFU Zone B President paid a visit with the team at their base where he commended them and praised their hard work and determination right from day one to have this achieved and added they all should be proud of themselves.
"You have made all Ghanaians both home and abroad happy throughout the tournament. Winning this trophy was possible because you all came together to work and achieve this success,” Kurt Okraku said.
''You were disciplined and stayed together right from the beginning. You should be very happy and proud as a team for what you have achieved."
It is really a great honor and experience for young girls who will have so much pride for winning for their nation and will also serve as a better preparations for them in the upcoming assignments.
