Kurt Okraku, President of Ghana Football Association (GFA) has applauded his administration for the notable improvements in the performances of Ghana's national teams.

 

Okraku went ahead to highlight Ghana's strong position in the race to qualify for a fifth FIFA World Cup.

 

Under Okraku's superintendence, the Black Stars took part in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) last year, while the Black Queens made a return to the continental stage for the first time since 2018.

 

In addition, the Black Satellites and Black Princesses won gold medals at the 2023 African Games, with the Princesses also qualifying for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia. 

 

Speaking at the GFA's 30th Ordinary Congress on Tuesday, August 27, Okraku said; "We have made strides in our national team performances with the qualifications to the WAFCON, to the men's AFCON, and at the moment, we are in a good position in our determination to qualify for the [2026] World Cup."
