The Ghana Football Association will appear before court today, October 14, 2022 for the hearing of their legal tussle with AshantiGold SC at the Human Right Court.

The country's highest football governing body demoted the Obuasi-based club to the second division in what they described as match fixing following what transpired in their 2020/21 GPL week 34 tie against Inter Allies- who also suffered the same punishment.

As if that wasn't enough, club bankroller Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and CEO who also doubles as his son, Emmanuel Frimpong were also both handed ten and eight years suspensions respectively from all football related activities.

The Ghana FA recently, labelled another ban on the Miners for working with banned officials, that was after they had placed a court injunction in the just-started GPL season.

The Human Rights Court in Accra will proceed on the issue today and are expected to pass out a legit verdict to determine the winner among the two parties.

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season after three matches, is currently on a temporal hold until there is a final judgement from the court.
