Captain Jordan Ayew says the Ghana national team will go to the 2026 FIFA World Cup ready to compete, not simply to be part of the tournament.
The forward said Ghana’s ambition is to make a strong impact when the competition is hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
According to Ayew, the Black Stars want to perform at a high level and produce results that reflect the country’s football tradition.
“We are going to the World Cup to give our very best. We want to put on a show and, hopefully, achieve the results we are aiming for,” Ayew said. “We are not just going to the USA to make up the numbers.”
