Popular Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has made a striking prediction ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting that the Ghana national team has what it takes to reach the final of the tournament.

The Highlife artist expressed strong confidence in the Black Stars’ quality and mentality, arguing that the team is capable of overcoming some of the biggest footballing nations on their way to the final stage.

He admitted he was initially hesitant to make his prediction public but ultimately chose to share his belief in Ghana’s potential.

“I didn’t want to say it, but if I say what I’m thinking… finals, we will reach the final. We will beat Portugal, England, France, Spain, Croatia, Argentina, all to reach the final. You will see if it won’t marvel you,” he said.

Ghana have been drawn in Group I for the tournament, where they will face England, Croatia, and Panama.

Their World Cup campaign is set to begin on June 17 against Panama, before a blockbuster clash with England on June 23, and a final group-stage match against Croatia on June 27.

Ahead of the tournament, the Black Stars—now under head coach Carlos Queiroz—are expected to intensify preparations with friendly matches against Mexico and Wales.

Queiroz is scheduled to announce his final squad on June 1, 2026, as Ghana step up their preparations for what promises to be a highly anticipated global tournament.
