Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan has charged the Black Stars to offer everything they can to seal qualification to the next FIFA World Cup which will be held next summer in USA, Canada and Mexico.

Ghana is currently sitting at the top of Group I with a three-point lead and need just four points from the remaining six to secure qualification.

The invited 24 players have all arrived and already started training in Meknes, as they have a very limited time to prepare for the crucial games coming up.

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan who has played in three World Cups and still remains Africa’s highest scorer at the competition, has tasked the current team to wrap up the qualification by winning their subsequent games to get the job done.

He further stated that Ghanaians should be calm on the players if they are unable to replicate the performance they give at club level to the country as there is a huge difference between playing for the two.

“The club and national team is different because at club level, players train together everyday and become so familiar with themselves. When they keep playing together, the understanding will come.

“We’re very close, the players have their destiny in their hands. They have done all the work and must add the finishing touch. They should go out, play their hearts out and get the win.”

Ghana will face Central African Republic on Wednesday October 8 in Meknes, Morocco, before they return home to play Comoros in Accra on Monday October 12.
