Renowned Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu has advocated for the inclusion of Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the Black Stars final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which comes off in Qatar next month.

Head coach Otto Addo and the other technical team members are contemplating on announcing Ghana's provisional man squad before the end of the week.

Speculations has it that, the player in question, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Asante Kotoko's Danlad Ibrahim will be the only home-based players in the first squad before it is reduced to the final 26.

However, the founder of RockHill Church in Atlanta, Georgia, believes with his consistent performance and progression with our various national teams, the 2022 MTN FA Cup best player deserves a place in Qatar.

The 21 year old for the past two seasons has won five trophies at club level with the 'Phobians' and clinched double with the Black Satellites as the skipper- the African Youth Championship and WAFU, all at U-20 level.

Also, he netted three goals in four matches to qualify the Black Galaxies to the 2023 CHAN- a tourney Ghana had missed out on the last three editions.

Just last Sunday, he again netted a brace all from the spot to help the Black Meteors beat Mozambique 1-2 in Maputo to brighten their qualification chances to the third round of the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
