The progress in the development of the Pobiman infrastructure was proudly shared by Togbe Afede XIV, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Hearts of Oak, during the club’s 6th Annual General Meeting in Accra.

"Right now, we're at about 80% completion for the first phase," Togbe Afede announced, highlighting the extensive facilities included in the Hearts Africa Sports Academy. These facilities range from executive apartments, dormitories, administrative and classroom blocks, to a kitchen and dining area, gymnasium, laundry, and changing/shower facilities. Moreover, the academy boasts four football pitches and courts for tennis, basketball, and volleyball. Togbe Afede revealed that an investment exceeding GH 22 million had been made by the end of 2023 to achieve this milestone.

Looking forward, Togbe Afede detailed plans for the second phase of the project. This phase is set to kick off soon and will introduce an 80-room hotel along with additional changing and shower facilities. Additionally, the completion of spectator stands will enable the mini-stadium at Kpobiman to accommodate a capacity of 5,000 to 6,000 people.

The development of the infrastructure signifies a significant step forward for Hearts of Oak, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing sports facilities and opportunities in the region.

Togbe Afede expressed optimism about the future of the project, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the club and the broader community.
