Kwesi Nyantekyi has prompted the Ghana Football Association to expeditiously hire a psychologist for the Black Stars team to deal with the psychological issues dizzying dangling with the minds and performance of the players on the field of play.
In recent times the Black Stars have been plagued with lots of challenges, including failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 21 years, which prompted Ghanaians to ask incessant questions.
Otto Addo and his technical staff have come under heavy criticism for failing to qualify the team for the 2025 Afcon slated to come off in Morocco.
The Black Stars bagged just three points from six matches in Group F of the Afcon qualifiers, which included Angola, Sudan, and Niger.
The bad performance in the qualifier left Ghana bottom (4th) in the group standing with just three points.
However, speaking to Asempa FM Nyantakyi ascribed the team's bad performance to psychological problems within the technical team.
"I think that apart from the players, Otto Addo and the technical team needs a psychologist."
Nyantakyi cited an incident where Otto Addo invaded the pitch following Ghana's goal against Niger in Accra.
"The day we played against Niger in Accra, Otto Addo stormed the pitch after we scored a consolation goal. I saw that there is a psychological problem there. What triggered him to storm the pitch is a psychological problem."
With the World Cup qualifiers set to resume in March, Ghana will take on Chad and Madagascar.
