Bankroller' of Young Apostles, Samuel Anim Addo has stated with conviction that President John Dramani Mahama will appoint a competent sports minister.
According to Anim Addo, appointing an efficient Minister will help revive football, Ghana sports and help address grievances in certain quarters.
Already, there are reports that Nii Lante Vanderpuye has been tipped as Minister of Sports and Recreation.
Speaking to Citi Sports, the former Executive Council member of the Ghana FA, Anim Addo explained that appointing a competent minister to the Sports and Recreation ministry was crucial.
“Honestly, in the wisdom of the President, who is, I can tell you, the most experienced politician now, in the helm of affairs. He was even an Assemblyman, Deputy Minister, Minister, Vice President, President, former President, and back as President. This is unprecedented .He has all the wisdom. He has all the knowledge.
"He loves football and he loves sports. We saw him at the (Bukom) Boxing Arena and I’m believing he will give us someone who will come and support our football and take us to the next level."
