Ghanaian young striker Nathaniel Opoku was among Syracuse university men's soccer team that visited Washington, D.C. on Monday, June 12 to take part in "College Athletes Day" at the White House.
Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris addressed the gathering on the South Lawn of the White House.
The 21-year-old was a key member of the Syracuse University team that clinched the national championship final after defeating Indiana University in December 2022.
Opoku's scintillating performance in USA earned him a long-term contract at English side Leicester City for an undisclosed fee in January 2022.
He was later loaned out to Belgian Jupilier Pro League side OH Leuven where he became an instant hit by scoring three goals with an assist in 7 appearances.
Kickgh.com understands that Nathaniel Opoku has been attracting interest from several clubs for a season-long loan deal from his parent club, Leicester City for next season's campaign after an impressive loan spell in Belgium with OH Leuven.
Opoku is yet to earn a call-up to represent Ghana at any level.
