Former Hearts of Oak winger Torric Jebrin has expressed deep regret over not adjusting his age at the beginning of his football career, saying the decision has significantly hindered his progress at the top level.

In an interview with Gil Media, Jebrin admitted that his age has become a major obstacle in securing new opportunities, despite still being active and eager to play for a few more years.

"I'm still playing and I want to continue for the next two to three years," he said. "But the issue is my age. I didn’t work on the age at the beginning. If I mention my age and you see me playing, you'd think I'm 22."

Jebrin disclosed that he is currently 32 years old, but acknowledged that for many African players, that age is often seen as too old to remain competitive in the professional game. He added that a lack of proper guidance and management early on contributed to the situation.

“I didn’t get the support or management that could manage my things well,” he said.

However, public records show that Jebrin was born on January 14, 1991, which would make him 34.

Throughout his career, Jebrin has featured for clubs across several countries, including Trabzonspor in Turkey, TP Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Al Masry in Egypt, and others.
