The nation's football governing body has said the four-time African champions continental showpiece qualifying campaign next month would be supervised by a temporary coaching staff body whiles the search of a substantive manager continues to rage on

Ghana Football Association (GFA) has said an Interim Technical Team would be appointed to oversee the Black Stars November international window.

The Ghana FA in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation through an instituted five-member committee are currently in the hunt of a head coach to take up the vacant hot seat of the senior national football team following the departure of Portuguese veteran manager Carlos Queiroz early this month.

Ahead of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers double-header against Somalia next month, the GFA in consultation with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, and the Black Stars Coach Search Committee have decided to appoint a stopgap technical team to  lead the west African powerhouse over the tow-legged tie.

A portion of a statement by the GFA Communications Department over the appointment of the Interim Technical Team  via Ghanafa.org read: ''In order to ensure continuity and adequate preparation for the upcoming November international fixtures, an Interim Technical Team will be appointed to oversee the Black Stars during the November international window.''

The communiqué added on their expected responsibilities with the Black Stars team: ''Preparing and managing the team for the November matches, maintaining continuity within the national team programme, supporting player monitoring and engagement activities and facilitating a smooth transition to the permanent Head Coach upon appointment.''

On the relentless search of a substantive head coach, the GFA said: ''This arrangement allows the Committee to conduct a rigorous recruitment process without compromising the team's immediate competitive responsibilities.''
