Bibiani Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso has set an ambitious target for his team in the MTN FA Cup, aiming to guide them to the semifinals of the competition.
Manso’s confidence is bolstered by his team's impressive performance in the Round of 64, where they triumphed over defending Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex to secure a place in the Round of 32.
While recognizing the challenges ahead, Manso expressed his optimism, stating, "It is our hope to reach the semifinals, but it will be difficult."
The seasoned coach also noted the unpredictable nature of the FA Cup, where lower-tier teams often pull off surprise results. "The FA Cup can be difficult sometimes because any team can cause an upset. Lower league teams come into games believing they can cause an upset, so we need to be focused," he said.
Bibiani Goldstars are currently atop the Ghana Premier League with 23 points, and Manso will be hoping his team can carry this strong form into the FA Cup as they aim for further success this season.
