Hearts of Oak starman, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh feels very elated for his Black Stars call up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Coach Otto Addo announced his final 26 squad list for the Mundial which starts this Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Barnieh, is part of the only local players that made the final cut after Kotoko's Danlad Ibrahim- making them the 7th and 8th home-based figures to be part of Ghana's World Cup squad.
His inclusion also got his mother Miss Comfort Akosua Konadu super excited that her son is having the ultimate opportunity to play in the world's biggest football competition.
Speaking to the club's official YouTube channel, the Black Meteors captain has described the moment as a dream come true since he's now gotten the mantle to play in a competition he use to watch on television.
"It's a dream come true. Four years ago I was watching behind a television and this time is now my turn so I'm very very happy because is a big platform and is also the biggest stage for every player who plays on this earth so I'm feeling very great."
He's currently joined the team's camp in Abu Dhabi getting himself ready for their final friendly against Switzerland on Thursday.
