At the age of 27, Richmond Lamptey expresses deep honor in representing his country in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Committed to selflessly giving his best during the tournament, Lamptey attributes his place in the final Black Stars squad to his unwavering, never-give-up attitude.

Ghanaians advocated for Lamptey's inclusion in the squad, acknowledging his stellar performances for Asante Kotoko SC in the Ghana Premier League.

A product of the WAFA Academy, Lamptey sees his inclusion as a dream come true, emphasizing that giving up was never an option for him.

In an interview before heading to the team's camp, Lamptey stated, "It is a dream come true for me. Giving up is not an option because we all know where I've been through, and as a professional player, I know what I want. Things like these do not shake you. You just have to be moving on."

Having contributed six assists and scored two goals for Asante Kotoko SC in the league's first round, Lamptey now joins his fellow teammates in camp, having already participated in his initial training session with the Black Stars.
